Hi, I’m Elyse Dodge, a contemporary landscape artist and designer based in Los Angeles. My work transforms nature’s beauty into bold, geometric dreamscapes — turning familiar scenery into vivid, faceted worlds that feel structured yet organic, vibrant yet tranquil.
I grew up in British Columbia, surrounded by rugged mountains, lush forests, and jade lakes. Raised by an artist and a builder, I learned early on how to see the world not just for what it is, but for what it could be. That curiosity has grown into a lifelong fascination with capturing light, color, and form in unexpected ways.
Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, I start by digitally breaking down landscapes into geometric facets, then bring each polygon to life with layers of color and texture. My murals and installations push this vision even further — transforming blank walls, overlooked corners, and open spaces into immersive, memorable experiences that people connect with and remember.
Now based in Los Angeles, I continue to draw inspiration from the diverse environments of the West Coast — the emerald forests and reflective ocean vistas of the Pacific Northwest to California’s peach desert skies, tropical gardens, and iconic mid-century architecture.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of creating custom murals, large-scale installations, and original paintings for clients like Westfield Century City, TED, Ballard Fine Art, and the Ronald McDonald House. My work has been exhibited at the Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, Billis Williams Gallery in Culver City, Adele Campbell Gallery in Whistler, and the Ian Tan Gallery in Vancouver, Canada.
When I’m not in the studio painting new mountain ranges or designing site-specific installations, you’ll find me doing crafts with my three kids — passing on the same creative spark that shaped my own childhood.
Whether I’m working on a canvas, a commercial space, or an architectural landmark, my goal is always the same: to help people see the world through a fresh lens — structured yet organic, familiar yet reimagined and alive with possibility.
If you’re dreaming up a mural, a statement piece for your home, or an immersive installation, I’d love to hear about it. Reach out to hola@elysedodge.com and let’s get started.
